Developer Educator, Technical evangelist, International conference speaker, Technical content strategist
Whatever the title, I help tech companies drive awareness and adoption of their products (APIs, SDKs, SaaS, or Hardware) with tailored education and community engagement strategies.
How a technologist goes from: problem encountered —> discovering a tool as a potential solution —> successfully understanding how the tool works, and whether it fits their needs —> adopting the tool —> becoming advocates themselves, is my job.
Read my developer advocacy blueprintAs a pioneer Developer Advocate for Smallstep Labs, I have led the creation of developer educational materials which brought our products to the front page of HackerNews and attracted government bodies such as the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to our doorstep.
I even help your own developers understand your products better.
I worked with Linda when I was PMM at Embold, a deep-tech startup building solutions for software developers. The nature of the product (being very technical) made it difficult to find content writers who could create content that was both technically rich as well as readable. Linda was one of the few writers i worked with who expertly executed this task. She was prompt, dependable and understood the assignment quickly and well. She delivered on time and created great, valuable content for us. Thanks, Linda!
Linda is an exceptionally talented technical writer and researcher. During our work together, I brought Linda some of our most challenging customers and subject matter and she consistently rose to the occasion. She independently researched new technologies, interviewed subject matter experts, and learned how to use the tools herself. She then translated that knowledge into clear and relatable prose. Linda is organized, runs tight meetings, and is an all-around pleasure to work with
I cannot tell you what a joy it was to work alongside Linda as she entered the niche work of encryption. Being able to sit in the co-pilot's seat as she researched and learned the technical aspects of encryption and authentication was INCREDIBLE. Linda's research methodology, her tenacity, ability to ask thought-provoking questions, and her quiet ability to make all the things people are talking about into a form others want to ingest is remarkable. Out of the people I have managed over the years, Linda is the fastest learner and brought great value to the company with a completely new-to-her technology in days. I still hang on her blogs, newsletters, and videos, always learning something new from her deep dives.
Linda gets it done. If I hand Linda an entire project—a blog post, a video project, or more—a few days later she sends me a complete, polished draft. Whether she's working on a video, a blog post, or a piece of documentation, she works from top to bottom: Researching a topic, absorbing a huge amount of information very quickly, synthesizing it and developing a clear point of view, putting together an outline, and then filling in the details. She's a lifelong learner who loves to dig into the details of things, and that makes her well suited to translate concepts from an arcane technical domain into plain and accessible language. I enjoy working with Linda and would recommend her to anyone.

I've always loved teaching. From the days when I would gather my younger siblings around a blackboard during school holidays and attempt to teach them elementary Maths or English—usually against their will—to now, where most of my work centers around education.
Speaking at events is a natural extension of my love for teaching, allowing me to share my knowledge with diverse audiences. I live for that thrill of sparking curiosity, sharing stories, and learning as much as I teach.
Here's where you can find me next.
